The Springfields Academy, Reach South Academy Trust is seeking to appoint a Speech and Language Apprentice to join the School in September 2023

Apprentice pay range, £21,391 rising to a maximum of £27,972 per annum


Contract Type:
Fixed term until 1st September 2027, full time


Contract Hours:37 per week, Monday to Friday


About the role


Springfields Academy builds safe independent lives for autistic young people through support, understanding and enablement from the ages of 5-19.

From September 2023 we will have 210 pupils, growing to 250 in 2024.


We are excited to offer the unique opportunity for an inspiring speech and language therapist to complete a SALT 4 year degree apprenticeship with us and Birmingham City University.

This degree will be fully funded and you will be paid for on the job training within your 5 day working pattern, you will spend 3 days per week at Springfields, one day per week at Birmingham city university studying and one day per week on placement.


The role of Speech and Language Apprentice is an exciting role working within our multi-disciplinary therapy team in close collaboration with our existing SALT who will be your in house mentor.

  • Someone with a passion for developing understanding of autism and speech, language and communication needs
