You will be responsible for helping the team to ensure our patients receive safe, quality nursing care in our outpatient clinics & the day care unit.

The unit is open between 08:00-18:30 Monday-Friday.

- willing to be hands-on with patients within a hospital environment
- willing to do personal care tasks (washing, toileting, etc)
- able to follow instructions and procedures
- able to work in a team but use your own initiative

On a day to day basis you will be expected to;

  • Helping to ensure the smooth running of Consultant, Radiographer, Nurse and pharmacist led clinics, liaising with the multidisciplinary team, support & administrative staff to ensure the needs of patients and carers are met.
  • Monitor and assist in managing the flow of patients each day attending the department for supportive and acute oncology care
  • Use good organisational skills to ensure waiting times are mínimal
  • Assist in auditing of care and the environment
