More about your role


You will be responsible for the effective delivery of the cyclical stock surveying programme for our portfolio of domestic properties and blocks, including review of the fire safety and energy efficiency of our housing stock.

Your work will enable the development of specifications and forecast costs for our long-term investment programmes.

You will also undertake investigative building surveys with guidance from our Specialist Surveyors and determine works required for defective premises as well as supporting the delivery of associated programmes for asbestos monitoring, energy assessments, radon, fire safety checks and disrepair.

This role is an exciting opportunity in an ever developing team.

Please note:
This is an agile role where you will be covering the North West Region. Therefore, due to the geographic spread of properties, you will require a full current UK driving licence.

More about you


To be successful in this role you will already have developed a career as a property surveyor holding chartered status or relevant technical / building or vocational qualifications to at least HND level or equivalent.

You will have keen attention to detail and demonstrable experience & understanding of both Decent Homes Standards and HHSRS (Housing Health & Safety Rating System).

Ideally you will have experience surveying social / affordable housing stock and possess detailed knowledge of housing related building and surveying requirements as well as planned, cyclical and responsive maintenance programmes.


In addition to understanding all statutory obligations for domestic properties, housing sector standards and best practice strategies you will also possess strong customer engagement skills and be able to analyse and present data and reports including making recommendations to peers and senior managers.
