Project Supply Chain Lead / Manager month contract + based in Derby £neg

  • Lead the strategy for Materials for particular project / function.
  • Coordination of Materials functions to support such as Change Programmes / Modifications within new build projects.
  • Acting as the interface to the Supply Chain pillars to deliver material requirements.
  • Ensuring that data integrity and accuracy in all aspects of material management is supported by a clear process.
  • Coordination of accurate forecasting of material spends and variance analysis systems in place and adhered to.
  • Driving the implementation of standardised platform Material Management processes into the Derby works.
  • Leading the Safety culture at the Derby works required to ensure Zero LTA's
  • Lead and coordinate a robust Demand Planning structure to deliver excellence for material availability for the Derby works.
  • Lead and coordinate a robust critical material requirements process through the Supply Chain to prioritise material requirements.


  • Stakeholder management

  • Customers, Suppliers and Internal partners.

To be the site supply chain lead and first point of contact for all Material related objectives, opportunities and concerns.

Represent and provide onsite support to the Supply Chain pillars to implement process's, governance and communication, including;
Standardisation

  • Lead the establishment and continued development of standard process implementation.
  • Support the implementation of standard processes in line with the Matrix organisation.
  • Establish KPI's for areas of standardisation
Material forecasting & C-BoM

  • Control of the project material spend & BTG.
  • Drive unplanned material costs down through engagement of the Supply Chain Functions.
  • Material Cost Variance Analysis and reporting using the Material TAC model and associated KPI's and reports.
  • Support the development & maintenance of an accurate SAP CBOM (standard format) to drive material forecasting, planning.
  • Optimise inventory levels ensuring availability.
Stores, Warehousing & Logistics Management

  • Support the safe storage of materials and consumables.
  • Communication of logistics management processes to secure the supply base.
  • Ensure that Perpetual Inventory policies and procedures are in place and adhered to.
  • Develop appropriate KPIs to measure performance to drive culture and behaviour.
  • Employ principles of lineside materials and JIT delivery.
Materials Management

  • Establish KPI's to monitor the management of Inventory settings and parameters.

Using the TAC analysis model ensure a clear and transparent governance process is in place to identify potential project over or underspends (PCP).


  • Ensure inventory targets are achieved.
