Here at Antimatter Games we are looking for a Lead Game Designer to join our growing team, working on IGI Origins.

This is a permanent role based onsite in our Cornwall Studio (working 2 days a week from home optionally). We offer stability and excellent long-term prospects working in a beautiful part of the UK.


Duties and Responsibilities:

Be the point person, key advocate and voice for Game Design in the studio.

You will collaborate cross-discipline to uphold and execute the Vision of the game.

You'll communicate the game's design to multi-discipline teams across the studio.

Provide support and mentor your team members

Act as the key driver and agent of change to improve processes, prototype new tools, example levels and workflows for the Game Design department

Identify and manage risks within the schedule with Production.

Gather, process and appropriately implement feedback from internal and external playtesting

Write documentation related to the designs, for support and training.


Requirements:


You'll have a minimum of four years' experience in PC/Console design roles, with appropriate credits on PC or Console titles.

Ideally in FPS or action/adventure/stealth game(s)

Minimum 1 shipped title.

Experience leading and supporting other Game Designers in a Senior or Lead role

Outstanding passion for games and an interest in creating intriguing gameplay.

Excellent communication skills and organisational abilities

Possess a calm, methodical and logical approach to challenges and ambiguity.

Analytical approach to problem solving.

Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.

Enthusiasm for ongoing learning and self-development.

3+ year experience using Unreal Engine 4 or equivalent engines.

An advanced understand of developer tools & software.

You will have solid knowledge of game design principles.

Superb communication skills


Beneficial Skills:

Passion for either Adventure/Stealth and or Shooter genres.

Experience with JIRA/Agile process.
