WHO WE ARE

THE ROLE

Working within the DevOps team, the role involves supporting, maintaining and enhancing our internal systems, particularly Jira, Confluence and Bitbucket.

The DevOps team manages systems that enable R&D and the wider organization to be successful.

Systems are mainly hosted in Amazon Web Services (AWS) and include source control systems (Bitbucket), issue tracking (Jira), documentation (Confluence), reporting (eazyBI), build pipelines (Jenkins) and many more.

WHAT YOU WILL DO IN THIS ROLE

You will:

Support DevOps engineers in managing DevOps systems
Administer our Atlassian product suite (Confluence, Jira and Bitbucket)
Design, maintain and implement Jira screens, workflows and automations
Create and configure new Jira projects
Respond to support and enhancement requests from R&D and the wider organization
Manage permissions and access to products
Liaise with other departments to determine best practice use of systems
Review licencing requirements and check that license counts meets the needs of the organization
Design and maintain reports and graphs using eazyBI

WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE

A minimum of GCSE Computing or equivalent
Excellent IT skills with an ability and desire to learn
A quick learner with an ability to get to to speed on systems quickly
Experience in an administration or support role
A strong support ethos and desire to support and help internal customers
Good communication skills
Excellent problem solving skills and a desire to use use software tools to solve problems and enhance productivity
A good attention to detail and an ability to work accurately
