    Head of Environmental Impact Assessment

    This is a senior role leading the Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) Business Unit, driving innovation and sustainability in shaping future environments across the UK.

    About the Role

    We are a market-leading consultancy specialising in Planning, Design and the Environment. Our project portfolio is diverse, encompassing residential, historic sites and estates, renewable energy, and mixed-use commercial developments.

    We deliver innovative solutions that make a positive environmental impact, sustainingably and sensitively shaping future environments.

    Responsibilities

    • Oversee the operations and implement business strategies for the EIA Business Unit.
    • Ensure effective Health and Safety practices within the Unit.
    • Participate in Monthly Planning Board Meeting to drive key decisions.
    • Review and approve tender pricing.
    • Evaluate the Unit's performance against Company Policies and Procedures.

    Team Leadership and Development

    • Recruit and develop high-calibre employees to support current operations and future growth.
    • Promote a client-focused culture while ensuring information sharing within the team.
    • Lead, motivate, and communicate effectively with the team, fostering continuous professional development.
    • Manage significant and complex projects to a high standard.
    • Take a key role in projects within specialised fields and provide technical leadership.

    Skills & Attributes

    An experienced EIA professional from a consultancy or industry background is required. A well-connected network is desirable, and membership in a relevant professional body is advantageous.

    The ideal candidate will have an excellent understanding of EIA processes and methodologies, experience in Project Management, and strong leadership skills.
