Description
To be flexible and adaptable in respect of daily work routines.To provide support to any area within the Health Records Department, as required
Areas include:
Health Records Library, Clinic Prep, The Subject Access Department and Offsite Units.
The provision of a Health Records Service as appropriate.
The efficient use of the appropriate PAS to ensure accuracy in the tracking & recording of all case note movement.
To prepare and maintain case notes to a high standard and to repair or replace as necessary.Advising medical/admin staff of the availability / unavailability of case notes for clinic.
To ensure all movement of case notes is recorded in line with Health Board Policy and Procedures.
To participate in any projects as instructed.
To undertake allocated filing requirements on a daily basis, when instructed by departmental supervisor.
This is a fixed term position for 12 months due to funding.
The Health Records Department at Neath Port Talbot Hospital / Archive storage Unit currently has the following position available for a Health Records Clerk.
The post holder will require excellent communication skills, have a very positive and flexible approach to work, be motivated and ready for the next challenge and also enjoy working as part of a very busy team.
Knowledge of WPAS / IFIT and previous Health Records experience is desirable, however full in house training will be provided.
Swansea Bay University Health Board (formerly ABMU) was created on 1 April 2019, after responsibility for providing healthcare services in the Bridgend County Borough Council area passed from ABMU to the new Cwm Taf Morgannwg University Health Board.
Swansea Bay UHB covers a population of around 390,000 in the Neath Port Talbot and Swansea areas and we have a budget of around £1bn.
The Health Board employs approximately 12,500 staff.It has three major hospitals providing a range of services:
Morriston and Singleton in Swansea, and Neath Port Talbot Hospital in Baglan, Port Talbot.
We also have a community hospital and primary care resource centres providing clinical services outside the main hospitals. Mental health and learning disabilities services are provided both in hospital and community settings. Morriston also delivers one of two cardiac surgery services in Wales.
The Health Board is part of A Regional Collaboration for Health (ARCH), which is a partnership with Hywel Dda University Health Board and Swansea University.
