About the role

As a Bid Estimating Lead you will coordinate all estimating related activities and prepare the Basis of Estimate to be presented to Head of Bids and the Senior Leadership Team.

As a Bid Estimating Lead, you will be responsible for the following:

Ensure the estimate is built up methodically in sufficient detail and is in accordance with good estimating practice
Responsible for generating a threepoint cost estimates inclusive of equipment, fabrication, outfitting, through life support and localisation costs
Combines inputs from other departments into a total estimate
Liaising with other department on estimating inputs such as quotes for materials and CTR's for services and assign these costs within the estimate
Review quotations received by Supply Chain for subcontract packages for cost point of view and tabulate bid summary for equipment /packages, materials and construction pricing
Ensure appropriate cost estimating tools and methodologies are available to provide accurate cost and resource estimates for all component in the agreed project Work Breakdown Structure (WBS)
Ensure that the pricing information is compliant with the ITT requirement
Develop, implement and maintain fitforpurpose cost estimating norms/models
Accumulates, evaluates and documents historical cost data and construction procedures and methods to maintain current estimating standards and databases
Develops and presents relevant cost background information
Develop cost estimating database to allow quality benchmarking of the estimates and assess competitiveness of norms, allowances and contingencies
Ensure that the pricing reviews are completed in accordance with JFD Global Bids Process
Act as a catalyst of the bid team in the challenge of working cohesively and positively towards project objectives. Be proactive and willing to go beyond the call of duty to succeed and promote a winning team ethos.

What do you need?

Previous estimating experience
Graduate calibre or qualified by experience
Ability to work well under pressure and balance multiple tasks / bids at a time
Ability to prepare Manhour Estimates / Cost Estimates / Sensitivity Analysis / Benchmarks within time schedules agreed in proactive nature.
Good Microsoft excel skills and good attention to detail
Must be deadline driven and have excellent communication skills
Ability to work efficiently in teams and alone
Risk analysis experience
