Accounting and Payroll Clerk

M G Walker & Co Ltd is a well-established firm of accountants situated in North East Derbyshire employing 10 staff.
- undertake bookkeeping for a number of clients (sole traders, partnership and limited companies
- prepare VAT returns
- communicate with clients
- assist Payroll Manager to process the payroll on behalf of clients
- send out Payroll invoices to clients
- keep up to date with payroll legislation
- report to HMRC and pension providers


Requirements:

• Minimum of 2 years' experience in payroll processing
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel) plus Xero and Sage
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
• A.A.T or equivalent. College based course work in accounting and finance is preferred.

Salary:
£26,000.00-£28,000.00 per year
