We are looking for an individual that would enjoy working in an interesting and challenging environment who has excellent interpersonal and organisational skills along with the aptitude for working independently when required.
Previous administrative experience within an NHS environment would be an advantage although opportunities for personal and professional development within the role are available.
A key element of the Reception role is to maintain accuracy and completeness of Patient Administration System (APAS); ensuring a real time electronic bed state record.
This role acts part of the Urology centre administration team under the direction of the Urology centre Admin Team Leader.

In conjunction with the Admin Team Leader, ensure accuracy and completeness of Patient Administration System (APAS); entering admissions, transfers and discharges.
- Ensure accuracy of Ward Management screens on APAs.
- Ensure all patient case notes are filed and prepared promptly for the coding process
- Carry out ward Reception duties, assisting patients, relatives and carers and members of staff with their enquiries, referring enquiries to ward staff where appropriate.
- Undertake clerical duties as required and directed.
- Arrange patient appointments and transport as required
- Fire medical report and other patient documentation in patient case notes in accordance with the approved system.
- Attend all relevant training sessions and meetings.
- Support the clinical staff in monitoring the cleanliness of the wards
