Are you an experienced Metal Finishing Technician?

Do you have 3 years' experience in an engineering or metal finishing role?

Do you come from an aviation background?

If so, we have an exciting opportunity in Ramsgate for a Metal Finishing Technician to work for one of our clients who is a leading global manufacturer of electronic instruments and electromechanical devices.

A more junior position will be considered, with support being offered to achieve the following:

Non-Destructive Nital Etch Inspection gaining approved Level 2 status
Institute of Metal Finishing IMF Foundation Qualification
Shot Peening and Glassbead peening gaining Level 1 and 2 status
Level 2/3 Engineering Qualification

As the Metal Finishing Technician your responsibilities would include:

Chrome, Nickel, Cadmium, Silver, Tin, Copper, Phosphate, Heat Treatment, Non-Destructive Testing, and other associated processes
Electro plating, Aqueous cleaning and degreasing, masking to an extensive variety of components
Assisting as required with monitoring stock levels for chemicals and consumables
Assisting as required with machine maintenance
Supporting training and development
Stock control of consumables
Adhere to industry H&S standards
Supporting the implementation of initiatives to improve processes
