Description
The Maintenance and Facilities Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance, repair, and improvement of our facilities.


Key Responsibilities:

Supervise a team of maintenance technicians, assigning tasks and ensuring timely completion of maintenance activities.

Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to ensure the efficient operation of all building systems and equipment.

Conduct regular inspections of facilities to identify maintenance needs, safety hazards, and opportunities for improvement.

Coordinate with external contractors and vendors for specialized repairs and maintenance services.

Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, equipment manuals, and inventory levels.

Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies.

Monitor utility usage and implement measures to reduce energy consumption and waste.

Provide technical guidance and training to maintenance staff on proper equipment operation and maintenance procedures.

Manage facility-related projects, including renovations, upgrades, and installations.

Respond promptly to emergency maintenance requests and resolve issues in a timely manner.

Develop and manage departmental budget, including forecasting expenses and tracking expenditures.

Collaborate with other departments to support organizational goals and initiatives.


Qualifications:

Proven experience in facilities maintenance, preferably in a supervisory role.

Strong knowledge of building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems.

Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and coach team members.

Solid understanding of health and safety regulations and procedures.

Proficiency in computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) and Microsoft Office Suite.

Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Effective problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Relevant technical certifications or qualifications (e.g., City & Guilds, NVQ, BTEC) preferred.

up to £35000 p.a. based on experience.
