Data Engineer

Central Milton Keynes/Hybrid

2-3 Days in MK Office

Up to £60,000

Data Engineer to join an innovative company in the transport sector with a unified goal to deliver an unapparelled service for the community.

This role will see you promoting a data-first approach whilst playing a key part in the implementation and management of an enterprise data environment.

Some of what you will be doing:

Owning all elements relating to the Data Warehouse.
Developing ETL automated data pipelines.
Designing data labs with the focus of developing Power BI/KPI reporting capabilities.
Working closely with the Azure Architect to enforce best data coding practices.
Defining a common data model
Deploying Power BI and Analytical toolsets across the business.
Taking part in peer code reviews.

Ideally, your skills and experience will include:

5+ years of Experience in Data Architecture or equivalent position.
Extensive experience using core Microsoft Azure technologies such as Data Factory, Data Lake and Azure SQL.
Strong experience using Python and SQL.
Experience using Synapse EDQ, SQL Managed Instance, or Azure AQL.
Degree education in Computer Science or Software Engineering (desirable)
