We are looking for a new in-house Security Officer to join our security team at our Derby Road site in Loughborough, Leicestershire.

Summary of Position
The Security Officers monitor our grounds to prevent theft, violence, or other company losses.

Job Responsibilities

  • Maintain a safe and secure environment by touring the premises, monitoring grounds via surveillance equipment.
  • Inspect emergency response equipment (i.e. spill cabinets, fire extinguishers, AEDs, fire suppression systems, etc.) and audit facility equipment.
  • Interact with a variety of persons including clients, visitors, and employees.
  • Directs visitors, provides temporary visitor IDs, and maintains visitor logs.
  • Follows Post-Order instructions and Crisis Management Plan procedures.
  • Ability to work in allweather elements.
  • Promoting safety by being alert to observe, correct, and/or report any hazards.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results. Includes support updates to procedures, trainings, and written programs.
  • Participate in training and become familiar with general safety procedures and Crisis Management Plan response.
  • Responds to security breaches, prepares reports describing the incident or accident.
Minimum Requirements

  • Be at least 21 years old with a Maths and English GCSEs
  • Maintain a valid driver's license.
  • Pass all required background checks.
  • Be customer service oriented.
  • Have intermediate computer skills.
  • Effective written and oral communication skills.
  • Be able to perform routine foot patrols and do moderate lifting.
  • Present oneself in a professional manner through appearance and conduct.
Skills & Experience

  • Performs work under mínimal supervision. Handles emergency response complex issues and problems; refers only the most complex issues to higherlevel management.
  • Proven ability to interact with others in a timely, informative, and professional manner.
  • CPR, AED, and First-Aid certification


The working hours for this role are two Days 06:00 - 18:00 and two Nights 18:00 - 06:00 on a four-on-four off shift pattern.
