Scantec Recruitment are working in partnership with a leading FMCG food manufacturing business with a site in Glasgow. This is one of Europe's leading food manufacturers where you can really develop your career to the next level.


Role Profile:


The Senior NPD Process Technologist will be responsible for the delivery of account specific NPD and EPD project briefs through Develop Gates and the day to-day management of the gated NPD Process from concept to launch.

This involves collaborating with key stake holders/heads of departments to make sure that all developed products are commercially viable and technically safe & able to be processed to meet customer needs.

A large part of the role will be to undertake production trials, validation and paperwork associated to support the product launch process


Hours:

Monday to Friday, 8am-4.30pm


NPD Process Technologist - Summary of core responsibilities:

  • Supported by the NPD project manager & wider team lead all new and current product development to meet the culinary and innovation expectations of the business and customer ensuring the business remains a market leading supplier
  • Take ownership for the validation of products confirmed to launch with the wider onsite team
  • Ensure production processes for NPD deliver the required margin for our customers and the business.
  • Manage the workload of multiple customers and prioritising requirements on critical path creation and meeting the required Key dates in the process
  • Present facts and ideas clearly to internal and external customers

Required skills, qualifications and experience:

We're seeking an experienced NPD Technologist with strong planning and organisational skills. A good knowledge of the meat & added value industry across multiple retailers.

Ideally you will hold a degree in relevant science, specialist qualifications and/or equivalent work based experience
