THE ROLE
We currently have an opportunity for a Project Manager within the Scotland Major Projects team. This is a senior position reflected in a salary which will attract a Personal Contract.
What does this role focus on?
The key responsibilities of the role will include:
- Lead a team of engineers to deliver Transmission upgrade projects in the design, procurement, implementation and installation of a range of transmission and other projects.
- Establish and maintain highly effective relationships with Maintenance, Network and third parties to achieve SGN's strategic objectives.
- Effectively manage a team to deliver specific projects while demonstrating high performance with regards to Safety, Engineering and Value for Money.
- Efficient management of contractors and suppliers within Contracts and Framework Agreements.

What are we looking for from you?
- You will, ideally, have gas industry experience with specific knowledge and experience of working on our transmission systems but related experience of engineering and construction in other sectors will be considered.
- You will have experience of leading projects from inception to commissioning, meet tight timescales, multitask and react to changing priorities in a challenging environment.
- You will have previous experience at management/ supervisory level, and you will have good influencing, coaching and communication skills and work with honesty and integrity at all times.
- Applicants should be educated to Degree or HND standard in an appropriate engineering discipline.
- You will hold Professional Engineering Membership of an accredited professional body, or be working towards membership.
- As this role will involve a significant amount of travel, you must have a valid driving licence and be willing to spend time away from your primary location.
