WORKING HOURS/DEPARTMENTS TO BE DISCUSSED

Job Purpose:

To carry out non personal care duties, to include but not exhaustive of, domestic/laundry, bed making, preparing mealtimes, social interaction with residents.

Knowledge, General Certificate of Secondary Education (GSCE)
Skills, Abilities Has good communication skills, including verbal and written skill
& Has due consideration to the safety of others

Qualifications:

Principal Responsibilities:

Participating in setting and maintaining non personal care duties
Ensuring the wellbeing of residents
Using resources economically and effectively
Be aware of correct cleaning solutions and equipment for correct job e.g. carpet shampoo for the correct carpet shampooed
Be aware of the responsibility to report any accidents, untoward incidents, hazards and unsafe equipment
Be aware of, understand and work within agreed policies where they relate to:
Fire precautions and procedures o Environmental Health rules and regulations o Health and Safety at work o Care of equipment o Care of resident's belongings o COSHH regulations
Prepare the dining areas for mealtimes, and if trained to do so assist residents with eating and drinking
To undertake any other duties e.g., kitchen/laundry at times of need
Abide by and understand policies and procedures
Attend mandatory and in house training as required
Help promote the home at all times

Health And Safety
To be familiar with the requirements of the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974. Any areas of concern must be brought to the attention of the Manager or the person in charge

Part-time, Permanent

Part-time hours: 15 per week

Salary:
£10.90 per hour
