About You and Your New Role as Assistant Accountant / Bookkeeper:
You're looking for an entrepreneurial, growing company to join as their new Assistant Accountant / Bookkeeper.

You'll be a key player in their 2023 growth plans (and beyond)


Your accounting and bookkeeping experience will support a strengthening growth strategy, and you'll be supported by an external accountancy practice who are accountable for the monthly payroll and year-end.

You will take care of the purchase and sales ledger and credit control, VAT filing, CIS and reverse VAT.


To thrive as our new Assistant Accountant / Bookkeeper, we think you'll have the following experience and skill sets:

  • An experienced bookkeeper, assistant or accountant or finance manager.
  • Purchase and sales ledger.
  • Credit control (albeit not lots of this to do each month)
  • Excel, where you are the internal finance person supported by an external accountant.
  • Demonstrable experience in Excel.
  • Able to use QuickBooks or use your existing Xero or Sage experience to learn QuickBooks.
  • Be approachable and supportive.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • A likeable team player.
