**Year 4 Classroom Assistant Autism

  • Ipswich, Suffolk £75£90 a day

We have partnered with a fantastic school in the Ipswich area looking for classroom assistants to become part of their diverse and creative team of experienced professionals.

If you are looking for a role which will enable you to inspire and motivate pupils while you teach them educational, life and vocational skills.


The Ideal applicant

  • Some experience of working with young people either in a volunteer capacity or work capacity
  • Experience of young people or adults with disabilities or mental health needs
  • Compassionate, calm and caring personality
- a passion for working in the education sector


The Role

  • You will be working part of a team of TAs to assist the teacher in delivering lessons to small groups of pupils
  • You must be able to communicate effectively within the team and with the outer team this is crucial to a safe environment for the pupils
  • You will learn new communication techniques through ipads and sign language such as BSL and Makaton
  • The chance to attend in house SEND specific training sessions
  • School hours are generally between 8:30 and 3:30, the work will be term time with the same school holidays as the pupils._

Job Types:
Full-time, Part-time, Temp to perm, Graduate

Part-time hours: 6-35 per week


Salary:
£75.00-£90.00 per day


Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday

  • Ipswich: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
