Mornings: 06.30am-09.30

Afternoons: 02.30pm-5pm approx.


Note:
All start times are fixed and all journey times are, by nature, traffic dependent, but timings given are the usual duration for each run

We are looking to recruit a School Run Driver (Term Time Only).

Many of the pupils are based in Surrey and so you will be providing a school service to bring them to and from school.

The school run drivers drive a vehicle provided by us for the morning, afternoon or evening runs on a rota as required.

Pay is on a timesheet basis.

Drivers may be required to act as a chaperone from time to time and will be required to drive on different routes as necessary.

Car licensed drivers are paid 11.50 per hour inclusive of holiday pay.


Responsibilities:

• Reporting any incidents or problems with children's behaviour to the school promptly (being trained in the safeguarding policy and reporting procedures is essential)
• Reporting any vehicle, other equipment issues to the office immediately
• Ensuring the vehicle has sufficient fuel for each journey
• Ensuring all pupils are safely seated and wearing seatbelts before the journey begins and throughout the journey
• Only using mobile phones in case of an emergency or contact with the school and parents
• Attending departmental meetings, usually at the start and end of each term, as notified
• From time to time, or for the supervision of specific pupils as necessary, there will be a companion or chaperone accompanying the bus drive on particular routes. The chaperone's role will be to assist the drive in all of the above, both working closely in cooperation with each other
• Undertaking such other duties as agreed to be in keeping with the general nature of the job
• Undertaking trainings as and when required to be compliant for the role

Desired Skills

• Good communication skills clear and accurate with pupils/parents/colleagues
• Ability to be assertive to establish/maintain good discipline of the pupils
• Patience with the ability to keep calm
• Ability to work morning/afternoon/evening school runs
• Previous work with school age children in a supervisory capacity (desirable)
• First Aid Certificate (desirable)
