We've been named AltFi's B2B Fintech of the Year, placed in the FinTech50, and named one of Europe's fastest-growing companies by the Financial Times in 2023.Reporting to the Group Financial Controller, the Group Payroll Lead will drive the management of the company's payroll affairs globally, covering the UK, APAC, EMEA and North/South America entities.

This newly created role will work with finance and non-finance teams with support from external payroll advisors to drive the highest standards of payroll.

This role will play an integral part in scaling the payroll processes and procedures of a fast-growing business.

DUTIES

  • Lead the global payroll process and controls with support from external payroll providers
  • Lead the timely execution of payroll deliverables, payments and statutory reporting for all entities across the world while ensuring compliance with local payroll legislation in different countries
  • Working with the finance systems team towards higher payroll standards, leading any payroll system implementations in the future and leading any payroll process optimisation as necessary in partnership with HR
  • Work with the FP&A team to provide insights on payroll related spend and prepare the analysis as necessary
  • Work with the accounting team to ensure that payroll related spend is accounted for correctly and timely
  • Support or lead ad hoc projects as the team and business expands internationally

Requirements:


Essential

  • Proven experience in multicountry payroll management
  • Qualified payroll professional with a solid understanding of controls and payroll best practices
  • Being driven and with the ability to balance multiple priorities at any time
  • Excellent skills in problemsolving and project management involving key stakeholders and advisors.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate payroll matters to finance and nonfinance teams

Desirable

  • Proven experience working within a group environment
  • Industry experience (fastgrowing technology company is a plus)
  • Payroll systems implementation is a plus
