We are seeking to appoint a highly motivated, enthusiastic, experienced and committed midwifery leader with excellent communication skills who will inspire their teams through positive role modelling.

The role of Midwifery Matron is pivotal in supporting the delivery of high quality, patient care that aligns with national drivers and is evidence based.

This post is to lead the community and outpatient services and teams.

We are a Trust with three continuity teams and this post will be highly attractive to a midwife wanting to progress and lead the continuity of carer model.


You will demonstrate a passion for improving the patient and relative experience and have a sound clinical knowledge base giving you the ability to support in delivering safe and effective care whilst having a positive impact on care delivery.


In addition to this, you will possess well developed communication skills that will be used to engage, inspire and motivate both staff and patients in the clinical area.

Excellent interpersonal skills and an ability to deal with complex situations are essential.
