We are excited to present the opportunity to join the team at a global law firm in London.

Our client is seeking to hire an In-house Risk & Compliance Lawyer to support the General Counsel, COLP, and COFA in developing the highest standards of professionalconduct and best practices across the firm.

This role would be ideal for a PSL wanting to transition to a law firm risk role.

For this role, you will need to be legally qualified and have risk and compliance experience gained at a large law firm.

You will need to be able to demonstrate strategic thinking, project management, communication, and organisational skills.

This role is being offered as a 6 to 12-month fixed-term contract.

The duties of this role will include:

Promoting a risk management culture across the firm
Developing internal risk management policies and procedures
Monitoring regulatory compliance and best practices
Advising on the professional conduct and ethical obligations of lawyers
Assisting fee earners to mitigate risk and answering riskrelated queries
Reviewing policies and procedures, risk and breach registers, engagement letters, and other documents
Designing and delivering training to lawyers and other staff
Horizon scanning for changes to legislation and regulations in the jurisdictions in which the firm operates
Designing systems to ensure key compliance guidance and precedents are implemented
