We are excited to present the opportunity to join the team at a global law firm in London.

Our client is seeking to hire an In-house Risk & Compliance Lawyer to support the General Counsel, COLP, and COFA in developing the highest standards of professionalconduct and best practices across the firm.

This role would be ideal for a PSL wanting to transition to a law firm risk role.


For this role, you will need to be legally qualified and have risk and compliance experience gained at a large law firm.

You will need to be able to demonstrate strategic thinking, project management, communication, and organisational skills.

This role is being offered as a 6 to 12-month fixed-term contract.

The duties of this role will include:

  • Promoting a risk management culture across the firm
  • Developing internal risk management policies and procedures
  • Monitoring regulatory compliance and best practices
  • Advising on the professional conduct and ethical obligations of lawyers
  • Assisting fee earners to mitigate risk and answering riskrelated queries
  • Reviewing policies and procedures, risk and breach registers, engagement letters, and other documents
  • Designing and delivering training to lawyers and other staff
  • Horizon scanning for changes to legislation and regulations in the jurisdictions in which the firm operates
  • Designing systems to ensure key compliance guidance and precedents are implemented
