We are working with an Outpatient Diagnostic Centre in the heart of the city to recruit a permanent full time experienced Mammographer to work 40 hours a week, Monday-Friday Only.
You will also work in their Private Hospital In Kensington and Chelsea.The Clinic provides a range of services led by consultants, who are highly experienced and specialise in areas including Orthopaedics, Sports and Exercise Management, Physiotherapy, Dermatology, Cardiology, Osteopathy, Mammography and Pain Management.
Mammographer Job Role:
You will be based in the Mammography Department and will work closely with the Clinic Manager, General X-ray & CT Superintendent, Divisional Manager, Cromwell Lead Mammographer and Development team to maintain and enhance the Breast imaging service as well as our screening mammography service.
Mammographer Duties:
- Organising the daily work programme to ensure that the department runs efficiently.
- Work flexible hours if required to accommodate changing workload patterns of the Mammography/Breast service.
- Perform high quality examinations as required by referring physicians according to departmental policies and procedures. Ensuring that all patients being imaged receive a high standard of care.
- Accurately analyse the acquired data, record results and produce high quality images for reporting.
- Ensure that monitoring standards provide a high quality service for patient care, technical performance and reporting.
- To maintain accurate records and report problems to the Radiation Supervisor or the head of department.
- Undertake clinical audits already in place, or set up new audits, in line with guidance.
- Ensure that effective booking, information, reporting and filing systems are maintained and developed.
- BSc or DCR in Radiography
- Post Graduate Certificate in Mammography
- Good Standard of General Education
- Computer Literate
- Substantial Mammography Experience (minimum of 3 years) including Biopsy experience.
