About the role

Join our Health, Safety and Wellbeing Team and develop your career as part of the new West Northamptonshire Council.

The Team provides health, safety and wellbeing advice to all Council Directorates, which includes a variety of schools as customers of our service.

What will you be doing?

A team player, you will act as the Lead Advisor for one or more service delivery areas, including schools, across our operations, keeping up to date with any changes that may especially impact health and safety within your services.


This role includes scoping and carrying out health and safety management system audits, developing improvement plans and feeding back to senior managers as well as developing and delivering targeted training, so IT literacy and experience in these elements is central to the role.

About you

An experienced Health, Safety and Wellbeing professional, you will be qualified at, diploma level (NEBOSH or equivalent), you will be able to deliver sensible, competent and timely advice and guidance on best practice in health and safety management across a range of disciplines.


Our team is 'part flexible' which means you should be able to attend an office base or a site location for up to 2 days and work remotely for the remainder of the week.

You must have access to suitable transport for site visits.
