Learning Support AssistantFull Time
Learning support assistant is a professional who provides assistance to students with learning difficulties, disabilities, or other challenges that may affect their ability to succeed in an academic setting.
- Providing oneonone or small group tutoring
- Assisting with classroom activities and assignments
- Adapting materials and activities to meet the needs of individual students
- Collaborating with teachers and other school staff to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Assisting with daily living skills, such as dressing and eating
- Monitoring students' progress and communicating with parents and guardians
To be a successful learning support assistant, you should have strong communication and interpersonal skills, be patient and empathetic, and have a desire to help others.
You should also be comfortable working with students of all ages and abilities andhave the ability to adapt to different teaching styles.
Some learning support assistants may have a background in education or a related field, while others may be trained on the job.
