We have an exciting opportunity for aTechnical Advisor to join our Technical Team based at our Paisley site. This is a full-time, permanent role.
Reporting to the Technical Manager, the successful applicant will be responsible for the daily preparation of documentation for waste movements alongside providing advice on disposal options and environmental and transport legislation.
Key Roles and Responsibilities will include:
- The preparation of all necessary documentation for inward/outward waste movements.
- Advising on appropriate disposal and recovery options.
- Providing advice on environmental and transport legislation.
- Assisting in the site laboratory on all general lab functions as required.
- Maintenance of stock control spreadsheets.
- Carrying out all core duties in accordance with QSHE procedures with regards to individual Health and Safety obligations.
- Helping maintain a clean, tidy and organised work/processing area.
- Carrying out any research and development function as instructed by the Technical Manager.
- Carrying out administration of technical paperwork including COSHH and procedures in line with current environmental legislation.
- Always practice a responsibility and awareness for health and safety, ensuring a safe environment for staff and visitors to site.
- Any other duties as instructed by the Technical Manager.

- Excellent communication skills (written and oral) with the ability to communicate at all levels.

- Selfmotivation/ standalone capabilities.
- Strong IT skills including use of Excel, Word and PowerPoint.

- Excellent organisational skills.
Experience and Qualifications:
- HND Qualification in a Chemistry/Science based field
- Previous laboratory work/knowledge
- Waste resource management experience (desirable)
- DGSA/ADR qualifications (desirable)
- Driver's license (desirable)
