An exciting opportunity has arisen to join Interocean as a Chief Financial Officer (CFO).

Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO), the CFO will lead the finance functions of the business group.

Interocean is a privately owned, very successful internationally recognized provider of a comprehensive range of services to the renewables, offshore oil and gas, marine and civils industries, including:

Marine consultancy and assurance, project management, naval architecture, survey and positioning, mooring equipment rental and services, risk management, and project engineering services
Engineering and design, inspection, coatings and preservation, specialist access, fabrication, construction, and accommodation.

You should be highly experienced in a senior finance position with an overall understanding of all aspects of the finance function within a small to medium organisation.

You should also have experience in leading change and developing ways of improving financial management processes, and be familiar with state of the art financial control and reporting tools to modernize existing systems.

Primary roles and responsibilities:

Monitor and manage the financial performance of the company, including financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis and tracking cash flow
Preparation of financial statements, tax returns, and other financial reports and ensure they comply with legal and regulatory requirements
Remain abreast of the latest financial trends, tools, and technologies and recommend new approaches to improve financial processes and procedures
Present financial information to the CEO and Board of Directors
Maintain regular dialogue with operational and commercial management to ensure as far as possible the accuracy and adequacy of accounting entries
Review credit control compliance, initiating action as appropriate
Oversee all company payroll processes

Qualifications and experience:

ACCA qualified
Chartered Accountant
Minimum eight years' experience in an accounting environment
Minimum three years' experience in a supervisory role
Foreign currency transactions experience (advantageous)
Proficient in Microsoft Office package (Excel essential)
Ability to adapt and become proficient in the use of stateoftheart Financial Management System software
Ability to communicate at all levels within the organization and externally with Clients and Government Bodies
Attention to detail under pressure, have strong communication and organisational skills along with the ability to work on own initiative and solve problems independently
Strong leadership and decisionmaking abilities
