    Lecturer in ESOL – Numeracy (Evenings)

    An opportunity exists for a part-time hourly paid lecturer within the ESOL department, teaching numeracy to English speakers of other languages.

    Delivering ESOL classes at all levels at College sites and community venues is a key responsibility. Additional duties include organisational, administrative, and pastoral work.

    Key Responsibilities:

    1. Undertaking lesson preparation, classroom teaching, tutorial work, marking, and administration.
    2. Conducting student assessments to place students, monitor progress, and identify learning support needs.
    3. Providing student support to meet academic and welfare needs, ensuring relevant information is recorded on the College system.
    4. Completing organisational and administrative tasks associated with the role, including team meetings, professional development activities, and staff appraisals.

    A teaching qualification and relevant experience are essential requirements, although newly qualified teachers will be considered.

    The ideal candidate will have a degree in a relevant subject and an ESOL specific teaching qualification.

    Bilingualism in Welsh would be beneficial for this role.
