A great opportunity has arisen for a Maintenance Surveyor to join a long standing reputable housing organisation.The role will require you work within the Asset Management division of Assets, Regeneration and Construction providing technical expertise onall aspects of building maintenance under the direction of the Maintenance Manager and Senior Maintenance Surveyor.
- To Contract Administrate and Coordinate all work functions carried out by our partnering and external contractors.
- To ensure, on behalf of our customers, that our partnering and external contractors are providing a highly efficient, economic, safe, customer focused and high quality service.
- To work closely with all divisions to deliver service improvements to all Day to Day operations including Planned, Cyclical and Major Refurbishment Projects.
- contract administrate and coordinate planned repairs and programmed replacement works
- empty properties and voids management especially in relation to Major Works voids.
- production of Energy Performance Certificates (where accredited to do so)
- overseeing the major & minor adaptations process
- carrying out structural defect inspections and coordinating any works as a result of inspections.
- carrying out surveys and project coordinate repairs and alterations to Sheltered Schemes and Community Centres as required.
- oversee the delivery of electrical installation & upgrading works
- contract administrate and coordinate the drainage contract
- oversee the pest / vermin control service level agreement
- contract administrate other capital projects, small scale works and minor contracts as identified.
- To assist in designing solutions for building, property and land defects
- To have a general understanding of budget monitoring and assist with the monitoring of budgets and advise the Senior Maintenance Surveyor of any financial concerns within designated areas of work
- To ensure that all claims made against the company are dealt with in an appropriate and timely manner and within the legal timescales.
Carry out investigations, interrogate records, assimilate data, prepare reports, coordinate witnesses and provide witness statements as appropriate and attend the Courts as necessary.
Beneficial Qualification
4 GCSE's (or equivalent) A-C grades
Relevant DEA accreditation (Training will be provided where required for the post)
Hourly Rates
PAYE £16.12 per hour Umbrella £20.54 per hour
