Due to career progression of the current post-holder, we have an opportunity for you to join our friendly Inpatient Therapy Team which provides Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Dietetic, and Speech & Language Therapy input to the Mental Health Services for Older People (MHSOP) wards across Nottinghamshire.

This post is based at Millbrook Mental Health Unit, which is currently undergoing an exciting redevelopment.

The Assistant Practitioner will work within the Inpatient Therapy team to deliver therapeutic interventions to our dementia and mental health patients.

The role requires a non-registered, Advanced Practitioner, with previous experience of working in a therapy support worker role and specialist skills, to support the continuous assessment of patient's needs and to implement treatment plans within a multidisciplinary framework.


You must be able to work effectively under the supervision and leadership of registered professionals to provide high quality care to our aged 65+ patients.

You must also have a solid understanding of the physical and mental health needs of older people and relevant therapeutic interventions.
