What you will be doing
We are looking for a permanent employee to work in the UK IT team maintaining good practise regarding company hardware.
The role will involve:
- Assisting in the management of all assets within a technology environment with a focus on leading the JML process (Joiners, Movers, and Leavers).
- Ensuring all asset records details are updated during the asset lifecycle.
- Assisting in stock control.
- Basic configuration of mobile devices.
- Updating data on the company's databases.
As the role involves stock management, attention to detail and the ability to follow a process are essential and will need to be demonstrated from day one.
The difference you will make- Reporting and maintaining the company asset records.- Actively chasing IT assets to be returned in a timely manner. Following JML process and contributing to future JML process development.- Escalating incidents when necessary.- Reporting weekly on the process results.- Resolving leaver tickets in helpdesk / ServiceNow software task queue for UK leavers.- Updating asset ownerships (updating the database with swap-outs/returns).- Setting up/wiping mobile phones, helping with mobile phone issues when required.- Helping with the Asset Management incident/request queue.- Responsible for processing returned hardware from leavers and existing staff.
Essential Technical Skills:
- Very good Excel/Microsoft Office skills.
- Previously worked using ServiceNow CMDB (or any other asset database).
Useful Skills:
- Exposure to:
- Technology Call Management Systems.-
- Understanding of a ITIL service environment.-
- Understanding of stock control principles

- Ability to communicate effectively with members of the support team, customers and 3rd parties.
- Highly organised and methodical.
- Ambitious, articulate person, with a desire to progress their career.
- Excellent telephone manners.
- Well presented.
- Ability to stay calm under pressure.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks at the same time.
- Positive and adaptable attitude.
