Description

Relocruitment is delighted to be working with a well-established Fine Art Shipper who provide shipping, documentation, handling and packing of all types of artworks worldwide.

They also provide storage and customs bonded facilities.

They are now seeking an Export / Import Operator to join their busy team based in Northwest London.

You will report directly to the Export Manager to help develop and improve the ambitions of the shipping department.

You will be required to manage and administrate all processes for exports including exhibitions and when applicable, exhibition reports.


Responsibilities:


  • Assist Shipping Manager as required.
  • To keep up to date on all HMRC and other legislation and company procedures, to complete all necessary documentation and keep all records accurately.
  • To ensure that all practical arrangements for export and import shipments are made; liaising with clients, working with transport, packing and storage departments to this end.
  • To complete Export & import documentation for Airfreight, sea freight & exhibition shipments.
  • Ensuring all quotations are made within a timely manner.
  • Ensuring all shipments are invoiced in timely manner.
  • Ensuring all clients are kept informed as to all stages of their shipments and receive all relevant copy documentation.
  • Where necessary and when requested by client, to oversee other aspects of shipping processes including local / storage / import work.
  • To attend operations meetings.
  • To maintain and update Art Logistics internal shared documents covering all imports.
  • To comply with the requirements within Art Logistics Staff Operations Handbook and Quality Management System.
  • To arrange collections and deliveries with the client in consultation with the transport manager and make practical arrangements directly with our clients to ensure smooth collections and deliveries as required.
  • To arrange packing as required in a suitable manner, supplying packing room department with full packing sheets and relevant information.

Salary:
£25,000.00-£30,000.00 per year
