Job title:
Mobile Cleaning Operative

We are seeking an experienced Mobile Cleaning Operative to join our fast-paced Team to work on various sites across South & North London

You will be required to work flexible hours depending on the needs of the business.

Company Van & Mobile Phone Provided.

Location:
On the road - various locations


Hours/Days:
Monday - Friday

40 hours per week - 8 hours per day

Rate of Pay:
£10.90 per hour

The main purpose of this role:

  • To ensure high quality provision of cleaning services in each area worked.
  • Providing a service that meets the requirements for the Company, Staff, Students and Visitors to the location.
  • Assisting in the smooth operation of the cleaning facilities on a daily basis to the highest of standards.
  • To maintain the cleanliness of the building in which they work by performing various cleaning duties.
Quality, Health, Safety & Environmental (QHSE) Key Responsibilities

  • Comply with all current legislative QHSE requirements e.g. Health and Safety at Work etc. Act, Environment Act seeking advice from line manager or QHSE Business Partner when appropriate
  • Comply with all Group and Company (Chequers and/or Renovo) QHSE requirements relevant to the role seeking advice from line manager or QHSE Business Partner when appropriate
  • Ensure that the core competencies required of the role are achieved and maintained, including any additional requirements as requested. Identify any known competency gaps or opportunities to improve and report them to line manager.
  • Report any nonconformance or incidents (e.g. near misses) as soon as possible in accordance with the HSEQ reporting requirement thereby supporting Vision Zero aims and goals
Safeguarding

  • Ensure the safeguarding of children and/or vulnerable person protection to meet moral and legislative duties and requirements of company policies.

Person specification:

  • Able to work in accordance with Chequer's policies.
  • Able to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Demonstrates and able to use own initiative.
  • Able to multitask and work in a pressurised environment.
  • Excellent time management skills and methodical approach to work.
  • An effective communicator with a good understanding and speaking of English.
  • Takes responsibility for own work, is able to record information accurately and pay attention to detail.

Desirable qualifications/experience:

  • Previous cleaning experience ( 1year preferred )

Essential qualifications/experience:

  • Full Clean valid UK Driving License
  • Able to drive / travel to different sites when required
  • A satisfactory Enhanced DBS disclosure
