We currently have a vacancy for a Senior Accounts Assistant to support the Financial Accounting Team at the Salvation Army's Territorial Headquarters.
Key Responsibilities:
The work undertaken by the Senior Accounts Assistants helps ensure that the Salvation Army maintains financial control and effective decision making.
They are responsible for undertaking reconciliations, reconciling all control accounts and bank accounts across The Salvation Army trust and The Social Work Trust ensuring accuracy and in line with relevant timetables.
There are 3 Senior Accounts Assistants in the Financial Accounting Team, and they are expected over time to cover the 3 key areas of Payroll, Legacies/Inter company, and Fund raising.
- Full AAT qualification having been educated to A'level standard or equivalent and have GCSEs including mathematics.
- A strong understanding of the technical accounting concepts particularly in relation to control accounts
- The ability to understand the complexities regarding accounting transaction management and a clear understanding of the consequences and implications of the actions you are taking in relation to accounting and accounting systems.
