The role?

A new role has arisen for a Senior Lifting Equipment Examiner to join our Minteg service line here at EnerMech.

The role will be based both on and offshore and will be on an ad-hoc project based work basis. This would involve a retainer salary and offshore/onsite uplifts.


You will be involved with conducting thorough examinations and proof tests of client and third party owned lifting equipment and accessories.

Ensuring all equipment complies with the relevant industry standards, legislation and is safe for continued use. Other main duties will include;

  • Conducts and/or supervises equipment tests and complex tasks such as offshore pedestal cranes
  • Record all findings using MInteg reporting systems
  • Record and report all defective equipment using MInteg reporting systems
  • Ensure client requirements are met in a timely and costeffective manner
  • Attend all site safety meetings and toolbox talks and actively participate and contribute at these meetings
  • Participate in any incident investigations identifying preventative and corrective actions (where required)
  • Maintaining qualification certification in relation to role
  • Potentially deputising for the Technical Authority, LOLER
  • Reporting any potential risk to your independence and impartiality

You are?
To be successful for this position you will be experienced in a Lifting Equipment Examiner role. You will also have proven ability to work without supervision. You will hold at least 2 LEEA qualifications, NDT level 2, BOSIET/FOET and a rope access certification.

You will have demonstrable experience using effective communication skills, problem solving skills and working with compliance issues (Quality, Health and Safety).
