We are currently seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Electrical Apprentice to join our growing business.Position overview
As an Electrical Apprentice, you will work under the supervision of a experienced electrician to learn and develop the necessary skills and knowledge required for a successful career in the electrical trade.
This role offers a unique opportunity for individuals who are passionate about the electrical industry, possess a positive attitude, and are eager to learn and grow within a supportive environment.
Key responsibilities
- Assist electricians in the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems in accordance with industry standards and regulations.
- Learn to interpret blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams to understand the layout and specifications of electrical systems.
- Assist in the routing and running of electrical wiring, conduit, and other components.
- Learn to safely and effectively use hand and power tools commonly used in the electrical trade.
- Support the troubleshooting and diagnosis of electrical problems, and assist in implementing appropriate solutions.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to ensure safety and efficiency on job sites.
- Demonstrate a strong commitment to safety protocols and adhere to all relevant safety guidelines and procedures.
- Actively participate in training programs and educational opportunities to enhance technical skills and knowledge of electrical systems.
Qualifications
- High school national 5's as a minimum.
- Strong interest in pursuing a career in the electrical trade.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team environment.
- Demonstrated mechanical aptitude and ability to learn new concepts quickly.
- Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and willingness to take on new challenges.
- Ability to follow instructions and work safely in a fast-paced construction environment.
- Basic understanding of electrical principles and concepts is preferred but not required.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to and from job sites.
