The Role

We are looking for a Digital Learning Designer to join our Capability Development team.

We are developing a learning culture across the FCA where knowledge is freely shared, expertise is valued and where the development we offer our employees helps our people to perform at their best.


If you have experience designing great digital learning, know how to get the most from learning technologies, and know your way around a Learning Management System (or would like to learn) this could be perfect for you.

What does the role involve?- Champion and influence the use of learning technology to support capability development initiatives- Project manage digital learning design projects, in collaboration with the team, to ensure timeframes and deadlines are met- Promote new ideas for learning design such as appropriate graphics, animations and video content- Design and script digital learning content, including video, animation and eLearning- Manage the existing FCA suite of digital learning and eLearning modules - responsible for maintenance and upkeep- Assuring that the quality of digital learning content is consistently developed to a high standard and is fully accessible- Manage and upkeep of local FCA academy SharePoint site- Assist with management and development of the LMS

Skills/Experience Required

Minimum- Proficiency in one or more authoring tools, ideally Articulate Storyline and Rise- Experience in producing creative digital content for learning purposes

Essential- Experience of utilising learning technologies to drive innovation and blended learning- Experience of managing successful project delivery to agreed outputs, time and budget- Demonstrable experience working with/managing an LMS- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills- A strong focus on performance and results with the ability to work in a demanding environment- A pragmatic, proactive and curious mind-set with the experience to deploy a range of solutions when faced with challenges; ensuring these solutions are customer focused and balances the wider needs of the organisation- An eye for detail with quality assurance experience

Desirable- Experience using Adobe creative cloud- Experience or interest in developing skills in HTML5/CSS- Experience of Agile project management- Experience or interest in developing skills in SharePointAbout the FCA

The FCA has a national role and is committed to a national footprint. This role can be based in London, Leeds and Edinburgh. The FCA has London and National Pay ranges to reflect regional differences.

The base salary range for this role is from £40,700 to £45,000 per annum in London and from £38,300 to £43,000 per annum in Leeds and Edinburgh, plus an additional flexible allowance.
