Job Introduction

The West of England Mayoral Combined Authority is seeking to appoint a Principal Transport Operations Officer to join their Integrated Transport Operations Team.

Your key responsibilities in this role would be to ensure a focus on delivering the priorities of the Metro Mayor by:


  • Supporting the leadership within the team to ensure that we provide high quality information and journey planning tools across the region and beyond to our public transport users
  • Developing and managing our Real Time Information (RTI) system and making it a first class service for our passengers
  • Ensuring that our information and data systems work well and are optimised so that they compliment and support the systems used by our bus operators
  • Helping to deliver exciting new projects funded through our Bus Service Improvement Plan (BSIP) programme
