Job descriptionWe are seeking to recruit an experienced
Senior Support Worker/Team Leader to work with our great team. You will be working with two young men who have complex needs and behaviours which challenge.
This is a hands on role and you will need to lead the team and be responsible for the days activities and ensure routines are adhered to.
This is a supported living service consisting of 2 teams working opposite shift patterns and you will be running the opposite team to the Manager but under the guidance of the manager to ensure continuity of the young mens daily lifes.
We have established day and night staff and do not use agency staff as this is not in the young mens best interests.
Both young men have their own vehicles so are able to access the community as and when they wish with 2:1 support.
You will be working in a spacious private property with excellent facilities.
You will have a valid driving licence.
You will have NVQ3 in Health & Social Care or above.
As A Senior Support Worker/Team Leader
- You will be responsible for ensuring medication is given at the appropriate times together with the general running of the shift and answerable to the manager.
- You will support with personal care where necessary.
- You will be able to help prepare and cook meals when necessary
- You will support behaviours that challenge using the MAYBO training that will be given.
- You will assist and encourage the young men to engage in every day life skills and social activities
- You will support with health needs as required which will include administering medication, ensuring mar sheets are completed, and all health notes are documented.
- You will work positively with colleagues on a two to one basis to assist and support the young men in their own home and in the community.
- You will organise team meetings, risk assess potential new activities and support your team in giving the best possible care to the young men.

Starting at £12.00
per hour after a probationary period.
