Purpose Statement


This position will lead and coach all UK Project and Consulting delivery practices to meet their respective goals and targets, in line with 's day-to-day operational needs, and strategic vision.

Primarily responsible for managing the resources and skills required for delivery of the organization's professional services.

Has oversight responsibility for staffing of all client engagements working closely with management and sales leaders to establish a cadence for the business.

Ensures that practice profit objectives, utilization and revenue goals are met.


Strong relationship building skills are highly important, the right person for the role will be a motivator that can make time to engage in honest and robust conversations / meetings with people and ensure that actionable plans are in place to develop our people and their skills accordingly to meet their role/s demands.


It will deliver for our customers high quality people who can deliver high quality solutions and products in line with their expectations, and in turn deliver the financial performance to meet UK's Group commitments and fund future growth.

Major Areas of Responsibility

  • Financial management of the practices
  • Delivering to customer and project requirements
  • Implementing consultancy and delivery best practice and processes
  • Resource management (to meet live projects and prepare for future pipeline)
  • People performance, development and career management

Primary Goals and Objectives

  • Achieve practice revenue and utilization targets
  • Ensure successful project delivery through the practices
  • Support and collaborate with sales, project management and GSC teams
  • Collaborate with other groups in the organization to assist smooth running of the business

  • Support growth of sa,global and strategic plans

Specific Job Responsibilities

  • Prepare and report on practice budgets
  • Monitor and proactively address daily activities and outputs of all practice teams, giving consideration to key KPI's such as utilization, nonbill work, financial and quality performance metrics.
  • Ensure that practice profit objectives, utilization and revenue goals are met
  • Prepare and recommend operating and personnel budgets for approval
  • Monitor spending for adherence to budget, recommend variances as necessary
  • Lead the delivery practice teams to ensure functional and technical capabilities as required for today are met, as well as the future needs of
  • Monitor and communicate resource requirements and changes to the appropriate colleagues to ensure we have the right people on the right projects.
  • Lead the delivery practice teams to have the necessary resources (capabilities and numbers) over the short, mid and long term
  • Help and support the practice leads drive value to the customer.
  • Ensure all group delivery methodologies, processes and practices are followed.
  • To include Project delivery, leave management, timesheet approval and expenses
  • Engage with the GSC to ensure resource alignment (capacity and capability) for all practices.
  • Ensure that employee engagement goals are met and take proactive action in ensuring continual improvement
  • Manage a team of people managers and team leaders to create a strong professional support and development network across the delivery team
  • Engage with sales team to support the sales process from lead to deal close.
  • Provide an escalation point for project management, account management and customers for any delivery practice issues.
  • Understand and articulate value propositions; understand and leverage operating models to ensure that appropriate, dedicated shared, onsite, offsite, offshore contractor, and company resources are available to meet client needs
  • Collaborate with HR to ensure smooth and effective Attract to Farewell employee lifecycle; where the practices teams are fully engaged in
  • Drive, manage and develop job specific skills management and development.
  • Ensure all team members have regular 121's, career/performance reviews, receive constructive feedback to aid improvement, and have individual personal development plans.
  • Support presentations to groups of key decision makers at the executive level; develop and communicate vision and purpose, encourage contribution and support from others
  • Maintain a strong interlock with the recruitment team to identify high quality resources to add to our delivery teams
  • Manage the personnel activities (hiring, training, evaluates, motivates, rewards, disciplines, etc.) of the practice to facilitate operations and retention of key personnel.
