Looking for a role where you can help others but offers flexibility to fit around your own commitments? We are on the lookout for patient and caring individualsto join the team at an independent school for children aged with an autism spectrum disorder based in Surrey.


Position:
Lunchtime Support Worker Assistant


Hours:
Monday to Friday, 10:00am to 2:00pm. Part time days of 3 or 4 per week will also be considered.

How will you contribute to the Team?

  • Support learners with the development of life skills such as cooking and cleaning
  • Prepare the adult centres facilities and kitchens for learners use
  • Provide personal care support such as feeding, encouraging, and enabling learners to maintain acceptable levels of personal hygiene, whilst promoting independence
  • Contribute to the creation of learning resources for our learners

Knowledge, skills, and experience:


  • Good standard of numeracy and literacy
  • Passion and interest in learning disabilities
  • Comfortable working with adults who exhibit behaviour that challenges
  • An understanding and personal commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of adults and young people
  • A positive, cando attitude
  • Experience (professional, personal or voluntary) of working with adults or children with or without special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) is desirable
