Administrators are key to our Trust, supporting our service users and clinicians. We are looking to recruit a Band 3 Administrator based at Lewisham and Greenwich Hospital NHS Trust.
In line with the Trust's Annual Business Plan you will work as part of the Specialist Medicine Division, supporting our Cardiac Specialist Nursing Team to provide a high quality advanced expert administrative duties, practice and cost-effective service to meet the needs of our patients.
- Reviewing and developing office procedures and administrative systems to support service delivery.
- To deal with queries/requests/complaints professionally and with sensitivity as required.
- To ensure that new patient referrals to the Team are prioritised and dealt with according to local procedures.

The Division aims to provide an environment conducive to the on-going development of all staff and advancements in the quality of the service by ensuring provision of a high standard of training, teaching and clinical care within the acute/community setting.
- Providing administrative support for the CNS team who provide Heart Failure services in the Hospital and Community.
- Reviewing and developing office procedures and administrative systems to support service delivery.
- To deal with queries/requests/complaints professionally and with sensitivity as required.
- To ensure that new patient referrals to the Team are prioritised and dealt with according to local procedures.
- To ensure that appointments for patients are booked in a timely fashion
- Making appointments for the team as requested using Icare.
- To input accurately, patient information into the National databases (NICOR/NICAR) and updated regularly.
- To produce reports as requested using patient databases.
- To work cooperatively with others as part of the multidisciplinary team
- To organise team meetings and do accurate minutes.
- To be an active member of inservice training and development courses.
- To assist in organising and keeping the office and storage cupboards safe and tidy.
- To maintain and order stock including stationary, British Heart Foundation Booklets, medical equipment and supplies keeping with the Trust's ordering system at the same time prevent from ordering excess supplies.
- To report any waste to the appropriate service for collection.
- Deal efficiently with enquiries and provide information to a wide range of internal and external callers, including patients, families, carers, consultants, district nurses, GPs, other healthcare professionals in the hospital and community.
Answer the telephone and take accurate messages and pass onto the appropriate team member.
- To arrange interpreters and translations through Language Line as requested.
- To attend team meetings as required.
- To meet and greet visitors as required.
Ensure day-to-day efficient and effective running of the office.
- To collect post daily for the team and distribute.
- To collect the end of month payslips and distribute appropriately to the CNS team.
- To undertake other administrative duties as directed by the team. This includes scanning, photocopying, filing, typing, faxing, shredding, and updating databases and patient records.
- To assist in organising meetings and events for the team.
- Report incidents/complaints/concerns
