If you are an experienced Community Safety and/or Partnership professional then there could be an exciting opportunity to come and work as a Community Safety Officer, within the Community Safety Team at Blackburn with Darwen Borough Council.


The role is varied and demanding with officers working collaboratively between key stakeholders within the statutory/public, private and community and voluntary sectors to investigate reported incidents of anti-social behaviour within the Borough.

Officers are responsible for developing, coordinating and implementing multi-agency responses using a range of problem solving techniques, strategies and plans, including the use of community engagement to deliver the key community safety outcomes.


You will need a thorough understanding of relevant crime and disorder legislation, particulary the Crime and Disorder Act 1998 and the Anti-Social Behaviour, Crime and Policing Act 2014.
