Volunteers play a crucial role in supporting the many different activities that take place across the organisation, Newlife has a lot to offer volunteers including social interaction, a chance to develop new skills that could aid employment and the opportunity to make a real difference, changing the lives of disabled children and their families.


Our Online department is growing rapidly, and we are seeking motivated volunteers to join the team at this exciting time as we develop a volunteer community within the team.


As a Volunteer Warehouse Support Assistant you will be tasked with the specific role of making up mystery boxes including 20 items of clothing.

This will involve sorting garments of clothing into cages by size and type and making up boxes of 20 items from the sorted clothes.


This is a physical role that will require being on your feet for long periods of time (with regular breaks) and manoeuvrability while sorting clothing and packing into bags.

Required tasks and key accountabilities

  • Continuously deliver stock to product assessors
  • Sort and consolidate stock in line with Retail Ready guidelines
  • Move waste and recycling as required to the appropriate area
  • Handle stock with care at all times
  • Use all equipment in a safe and appropriate manner
  • Adhere to all Health and Safety Policies and Procedures
  • Adhere to Manual Handling guidelines
  • Support Housekeeping duties
