Job Purpose:


To own the long term financial planning model and integrate this into board, external and management reporting in order to enable timely and accurate decision making, maximising shareholder value.


Specific Responsibilities and Accountabilities:


  • Own longterm planning and budgeting processes across the business, delivering and managing an integrated, P&L, Balance Sheet & cashflow model.
  • Responsible for delivering timely, accurate and insightful reporting to executive, board and external stakeholders.
  • Deliver oversight and understanding of monthly performance including variance to budget.
  • Responsibility for flash revenue reporting using latest available KPI's and business updates.
  • Working with the wider Finance team to continue to improve controls and processes and streamline management reporting.
  • Working with the financial operations team to ensure accuracy of shortterm cash flow forecasting.
  • Providing appropriate challenge and rigour to existing and proposed commercial agreements to ensure optimum returns.
  • Analysis of M&A opportunities.
  • Supporting DD for potential PE exit and/or refinancing.
  • Project modelling to identify and appraise potential strategic investments.

Key Internal and External Relationships:


  • Executive team working with tech and sales leads to ensure latest available information is captured and reflected.
  • Finance team working with the financial operations and reporting teams.
  • Technical leads appraising projects and understanding variances to plan.
  • External advisors

Knowledge, Skills & Experience

Essential

  • Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA or similar) with 37 years PQE and a record of success in similar roles
  • Solid understanding of financial modelling inclusive of P&L, BS & CF.
  • Analytical thinker with a track record in cutting to the commercial drivers of performance, profitability & returns.
  • Excellent communicator with positive attitude and approachable manner.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and build relationships across the business with enough gravitas to influence nonfinancial stakeholders.
  • Ability to work under pressure and prioritise effectively to hit deadlines.
  • Self motivated.

Desired

  • PE experience or experience working in a leveraged environment.
  • Experience in M&A either in industry or practice.
