This role will be within our SITRAIN UK business unit based in our HQ Manchester office. This is a varied role and a fantastic opportunity.


You'll make a difference by:


  • The preparation and presentation to staff and customers of a range of training courses on Siemens industrial automation products and solutions either face to face or remotely delivered at the Industry Training Centre, Manchester or at customer sites throughout the UK.
  • Equally important are the proactive identification of further customer training requirements and the formulation of appropriate training solutions to meet those requirements.
  • The role involves both presentation of standard courses and the negotiation, design and delivery of customised training programmes.
  • Although most of the training is at the Industry Training Centre, Manchester regular travel throughout the UK is required to carry out sales support visits, carry out skills gap analysis and deliver training solutions to customers.

What we're looking for:


  • Practical current experience of programming/commissioning or servicing industry automation based systems is essential.
  • There is a range of experience areas which would be considered for this role including PLCs, industrial networking, HMI, SCADA, Process Control, Robotics, CNC and Drives.
  • The successful applicant will display a high level of self motivation and be willing to both use initiative and accept responsibility. Other aspects of the role require a certain commercial awareness and a passion for developing and maximising business opportunities.
  • Experience in skills analysis would also be useful as part of this role involves liaison with our customers when proposing appropriate training solutions.
