Billingham based (Home of McCoy's, Wheat Crunchies, pombear and more)**
3 Rotational shift pattern: Week - 6am to 2pm Mornings, Week - 10pm to 6am Nights & Week 3 2pm to 10pm Lates.**

The Role
As a Process Operator you will have responsibility for running the plant and also improving and sustaining results and standards for the equipment you own.
Process
Run the plant equipment and perform quality checks to the correct frequency.
Undertake basic plant maintenance and complete changeovers in accordance with plant needs.
Use our IWS problem solving tools to identify the root cause of issues
Support our Equipment Owners in maintaining our current A-ranked kit at AM Step 3 (extruder)
Bagging
Operating the bag fill stations.
Remove the finished product into the curing area/storage.
Use Autostore hand scanners to create labels for stock.
Quality
Collect samples and conduct necessary quality checks in the lab.
Understand and complete internal audits/GMP/HACCP and ensure paperwork is completed accordingly.
Carry out & record quality checks and process data on InforMES, ensuring appropriate actions are taken when parameters are out of spec.

- Own and drive improvements on equipment within the pellet plant.
- Build AM capability and qualification via the AM1, AM2 and AM3 Step up Card process.
- Adhere to safety and quality standards and take personal responsibility for health and safety to achieve zero losses and safety incidents.
- Work with the Line Structure Team to own, establish and improve CL (Centre Lines) & CIL (Clean, Inspect and Lubricate).
- As part of a team effectively manage startups, shutdowns and changeovers.
- Drive waste and losses to zero.
- Manage energy usage to achieve optimum efficiency.
- Maintain high standards of Hygiene and Housekeeping following our clean as you go policy.
- Find and fix issues and defects using basic engineering skills.
- Record all stoppages using FMES (our IT system) and ensure issues are actioned/communicated to drive improvements in the plant.
- Ensure key information is effectively communicated to the next shift through the Shift Daily Direction Setting (SDDS) process.
Previous experience as a Process Operator or ATM is not essential but would be highly advantageous.
