Teaching Assistant

SEMH School

Stockport

Temporary to permanent position

£95 a day


We are looking for a Teaching Assistant with a Level 3 or Level 2 qualification to join our growing team.

A local SEMH School are looking for a Teaching Assistant to join them full time to support the needs of their school.


The ideal Teaching Assistant will have:

  • Experience working with young people
  • Strong classroom management abilities
  • Confidence using technology and educational programs/apps
  • Creativity, patience, and enthusiasm for working with young students

Key responsibilities of a Teaching Assistant include:

  • Providing classroom support to teachers during lessons
  • Working oneonone or in small groups to deliver tailored instruction
  • Preparing classroom materials and learning activities
  • Monitoring student progress and providing feedback
  • Managing student behaviour and upholding classroom rules
  • Supervising classrooms, lunch breaks, and school activities as needed
We are looking for an engaging, caring Teaching Assistant committed to fostering a positive learning environment. Teaching Assistant should be comfortable with a varied schedule and duties supporting classroom teacher.
